Polynomial algebras, higher order quasi-exactly solvable differential operators and exact solutions of classes of general non-linear quantum optical models

Abstract:
We introduce novel polynomial deformations of the 3-dimensional Lie algebras. We
construct their unitary representations and the corresponding differential
operator realizations. This gives rise to higher order differential operators
which are quasi-exactly solvable. We then use the results to obtain exact (Bethe
ansatz) solutions to classes of very general non-linear models in quantum
optics, including the so-called Boson-Einstein condensate models as special
cases. This is an informal talk based on paper(s) in preparation with Yuan-Harng
Lee (PhD student) and Wen-Li Yang.
