INAUGURAL UQ MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS WORKSHOP 2000

The Inaugural Mathematical Physics Workshop run by the The University of Queensland's Centre for Mathematical Physics was held at Greenmount Resort, Coolangatta, Gold Coast over 7-9 July 2000. The meeting aimed to foster closer ties between researchers working in all areas of mathematical physics throughout Australia, particularly in the fields of statistical mechanics, quantum field theory, quantum information theory, quantum information and computation and algebraic and geometric methods in mathematical physics. The timing of the meeting was just after the 44th Australian Mathematical Society Meeting which was hosted by the Department of Mathematics at The University of Queensland over 2-5 July 2000. Registration

The registration fee of $75 included morning tea over the course of the meeting and an informal reception on the evening of 6 July, but excluded the conference dinner ($24 per head) on the night of 8 July. Students received free registration on presentation of a letter from their supervisor or Head of Department confirming their status as students.

Accomodation at Greenmount Resort

Single/Twin Share/Triple Share: $73/83/93 per room per night. A limited amount of subsidised, shared accommodation was available to students presenting a letter of support from their supervisor.
