Please visit the following links for topics that have been identified as issues for people in the Mathematics department:

People joining the department should note:

  • There is a first aid kit in the photo copying room (67-643).  Everyone has a key to this room;
  • In the Priestley building there are fire extinguishers near the eastern fire escape stairs and near the lifts.  Everyone must have seen a demonstration of the use of fire extinguishers;
  • There are emergency phones near the lifts.  There are `break glass'  fire alarms just inside the adjoining General Purpose building;
  • In an emergency people should assemble on the lawn just in font of the Maths building.
